"One shop, stocked for whatever the household needs this week."
Crystal Store started as a single shopfront on the Tarakeshwar road, stocking what the households around Boharatar and Lolang needed day to day. That part has not changed. What grew was the range: groceries first, then household goods, kitchenware, stationery and the gas cylinder exchange.
Today the shelves carry rice, dal, oil, ghee and spices at the front, household goods and kitchenware behind, and a gas cylinder exchange at the door. Most of our customers walk here, so we keep the everyday things in stock rather than the unusual ones.

We buy staples in bulk and direct, which is how we keep rice, dal and oil at prices that hold week to week.
Milk and dairy arrive every morning, and every delivery is checked against its expiry date before it reaches the shelf.
We live in Tarakeshwar-5 too. You will usually be served by someone whose family you already know.

Keeps the supplier accounts, the credit book and the monthly reconciliation, including the Dahal Gas cylinder round. If a shelf price has moved, he can tell you what moved it.
